The RAREST of the LEGENDARY MANTUA ROGERS 4-6-0s?
Even in this era of the Internet, documentation of Mantua history remains hard to find. As far as I can tell, this spectacular locomotive was released ONLY ONCE in 1993 as the motive power for the Mantua 629-390 "Pennsylvania Passenger Train" Bonus Pack. (Literature Sheet Included) I can find no evidence from price sheets or Mantua literature to indicate that it was ever released as part of the regular Mantua product line. Featuring a gloss and flat black boiler, tall, polished brass domes and gold PRR lettering it is also simply stunning. It is also, possibly, the only Mantua 4-6-0 Rogers w/black, instead of brass, handrail stanchions and handrails w/o the signature wrap around front.
