Mantua 313-76 Ohio Southern 2-6-0 Mogul Locomotive HO Scale

First developed in 1866, the 2-6-0 Mogul was the first locomotive to use the radially turning two-wheel front bogie truck. The Mogul was an all purpose locomotive, similar to the smaller 4-4-0 Americans, but with better freight capabilities due to a top speed limited to 50 miles per hour and better pulling power. Wide spaced drivers also made for easier maintenance.

Offered for two years only in 1980 and '81, this rare, unique, and sweet running Mogul is one of the very few equipped by Mantua with triple domes and a "Fat Stack". Further equipped by us with our exclusive Factory Quality Directional Back-up Light and Knuckle Couplers and you have something truly unique.
