One of America's most popular and widely used steam locomotives, the U.S.R.A. 0-8-0 Switcher, was the creation of the U.S.R.A. program during World War I. The 175 originals became the standard for the type and by 1953 over 1200 copies had been made. The larger boiler allowed the engine to do heavier work. It was used for switching as well as tranfer service between yards. Our MRRHQ Collectible HO Scale Mantua 314-64 C&NW U.S.R.A. 0-8-0 Switcher is a hard working and superb replica of the type.
