AHM 5155G NYC 0-6-0 Saddle Tank Switcher

This model is patterned after the 0-6-0 Pannier and Saddle Tank type locomotives built between 1890-1930. The water that is to be heated and used for steam is carried in large tanks on either side of, or straddling, the boiler. Fuel is carried in the bunker at the rear. Primarily intended for general service it was used for short distance hauling and for yard duty as a switcher. Its range was limited by its supply of water and fuel. It was at home in a small yard within easy reach of fuel and water. Never glamorous in looks or purpose, switchers remain a must have for any collection or working model railroad
