Dept 56 Heritage Village Express Bachmann 4-4-0 Modern American Locomotive #56

This loco was originally part of a Dept 56 Heritage Village Express set from the early 1980's. (Original Set Box, coaches and track shown are not included.) This, no doubt, explains the white "snow" spots on top of the cab and on the back of the tender which I painted over as part of the restoration. Feel free to add them again. Anyway, though there was little evidence of run time (perhaps once a year?) when it arrived, it didn't run and the headlamp didn't work. The whistle was also missing. The headlamp now works, the engine runs fine and I gave it a new brass whistle. All in all, a nice loco at a bargain price.
