AHM 5089D New York Central Class H-6a 2-8-2 USRA Light Mikado Locomotive #5155

NYC Class H-6a #5155 was one of 194 USRA Light Mikados delivered to the NYC system by Baldwin, Lima and Schenectady in 1918 and 1919. This 1918/19 order was the largest single order for these locomotives for one system. In fact, the NYC was the largest beneficiary of the USRA in numbers of locomotives delivered.

The USRA Light Mikado was a USRA standard class of steam locomotive designed under the control of the United States Railroad Administration, the nationalized railroad system in the United States during World War I. This was the standard light freight locomotive of the USRA types.
