AHM 5075E NY&NH A-3 0-4-0 Shifter w/Slope Back Tender
Built in the late 1970s for AHM by Rivarossi, the 5075 series of A-3 0-4-0 Switchers are certainly unique. At just 3 3/4" long, Tender not included, they are, as far as we know, the most diminutive HO Scale switchers ever produced. With their signature working head and tail lamp fixtures that produced light on three sides and front and rear flag stanchions, they are also some of the most full featured.
EXCERPT FROM INCLUDED AHM5075E MANUAL:
"The A-3 locomotive was a standard switcher used by many small and large railroads both for yard duty and for interyard shunting service. These locos performed so well that many were not retired until the last of the larger, better known steam locos were retired. They ran many years of productive and economical service throughout the United States and Canada. Some locos were sold to South America where even today they are still in use."
