AHM 5072 V&TRR 2-4-0 "Super" Bowker Locomotive

Well documented on the web and in literature, the Baldwin 2-4-0 J.W. Bowker Locomotive has a long and storied history. The original V&T"Bowker" model locomotive was first reproduced for AHM by Rivarossi in 1972 with two road names following in 1973: K.C.& St. L and the W&A. In 1976 AHM released 3 other road names: Y&PBR, B.&M.L.R.R. and B.M.R.R.Co.

Now, why do we say "Super" Bowker 2-4-0 Locomotive you ask? The "Bowker" was produced by several manufacturers for AHM. Only the original Bowker, built by Pocher in 1972, featured brass, instead of plastic, domes, brass, instead of plastic, steam cylinders, brass, instead of painted, boiler banding, and silver or gold plated plastic compressor assemblies. Our "Super" Bowker has all of these rare features, our exclusive AcuGlow working headlamp (a working Headlamp was NEVER available on any Bowker) AND an Engineer Figure installed in the cab. "Super" indeed.
