"Between 1901 and 1915 CNJ bought or built 101 0-6-0s and 25 0-8-0s, all Camelbacks. The sudden surge in traffic moving to the port of New York during World War I resulted in the addition of 16 0-6-0s to CNJ's roster, ten USRA machines and six of the type Baldwin built and kept in stock for industries and contractors.
