The Harriman passenger car is classified as an all-steel, light weight car. It was used universally by almost all railroads. From the early beginning in the 1900's, the Harriman car filled a vital need for a modern, high speed passenger car. Many are still in use today.

In the early 2000's Athearn released a variety of four, five, and, in rare cases, 6 Ready-to-Run coach sets under the Roundhouse banner. Featuring updated Roundhouse tooling, features and razor-sharp graphics these 34' Overton, 50' Overland, 65' Harriman and 85' Palace Car sets were, and remain, some of the finest ever produced.
