Roundhouse 84964 UP Class C-57 2-8-0 Consolidation Locomotive #156
"The Union Pacific bought 472 Consolidations between 1900 and 1909. Nearly all were standard Harriman 2-8-0s, with 57" drivers and 21" x 30" or 22" x 30" cylinders. All were built with Stephenson valve gear; a few were rebuilt with Walschaerts gear. Many were still in service into the late 1950's." (From:"The Guide to North American Steam Locomotives" Compiled by the late George H. Drury)
Built from upgraded and re-manufactured vintage original Roundhouse tooling and decked out with modern can motors and razor sharp graphics, these late production Roundhouse steamers are some of the quietest and smoothest running locomotives ever produced.
