IHC M9522 Maine Central Class W-1 2-8-0 Consolidation Locomotive #519

Renowned for it's 4-6-0s, the Maine Central finally began buying 2-8-0s in 1910. The first nine, class W, numbers 501-509, had 63" drivers and 22" x 28" cylinders, the W-1 class of 1912 and 1913 (510-524) and the W-2s of 1914 (525-528) had the same drivers and 23" x 28" cylinders.

This IHC Consolidation represents a U.S.R.A. Consolidation of both yard and freight service. With it's heavy flywheel equipped can motor and even weight distribution this classic quiet and smooth running MRRHQ Collectible HO Scale IHC M9522 MEC 2-8-0 Consolidation Locomotive is easily capable of pulling 20-30 cars at any speed.
